Cancer consultations
Being diagnosed or suspected of having cancer can have a strong psychological impact and cause concern. Both the patient and their loved ones face a multitude of uncertainties in a highly complex disease, affecting both their physical and mental health.
At the GCCC 360 Centre of Oncological Excellence, we have extensive experience in the care of cancer patients from all walks of life and are very aware of the importance of providing fast, expert, accurate and continuous care and information. Therefore, we have a team of specialists to solve any issue related to the disease and its effects on the patient and their environment.
Medical oncology
What is medical oncology?
We have a multidisciplinary team of specialists, focused on the comprehensive and personalised care of the cancer patient, who perform a comprehensive analysis of each case to determine the most appropriate approach and establish personalised therapies tailored to the needs of each patient.
At our cancer centre, we also make available to our patients the Day Hospital service, to perform the treatment with the utmost privacy and comfort and always under the supervision and direction of a physician, without the need for admission to the hospital.
This recently renovated Day Hospital Unit has an extensive team of experts from various fields and is led by Dr. Bellmunt, an oncologist with over 30 years of experience in the field of Medical Oncology and extensive training in different fields of the speciality.
Radiation oncology
What is radiation oncology?
At the GCCC 360 Centre of Oncological Excellence, we know that the diagnosis of cancer can cause bewilderment, fears and uncertainty. Therefore, the departments of radiation oncology work in a coordinated way to accompany our patients throughout all stages of the disease.
In addition, we can find the most advanced technology at the centre, such as the new Elekta Versa HD linear accelerator with which it is possible to perform high-precision treatments in fewer sessions and with a minimal potential risk of damaging the surrounding tissues, which allows us to perform innovative techniques such as stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT).
One of the exclusive novelties is the possibility of planning radiation therapy treatments, which can be performed by means of magnetic resonance imaging on a pioneering basis in Spain.
Telematic follow-up consultation
At the GCCC 360 Centre of Oncological Excellence, we offer our patients telematic follow-up consultations in radiation oncology. This type of appointment is ideal for patients who live far away or who have reduced mobility and cannot travel to the centre.
For those patients who do not have private medical insurance, the cost of the radiotherapy oncology telemedicine follow-up consultation is €120. Once the appointment has been paid for, the patient management department will contact you to schedule it and provide the link to connect to the consultation, which will be carried out via Zoom. It is essential to provide the complementary tests (analysis, MRI, CAT scan) that are available.
